About the City of Tracy
Tracy, California is a growing community of around 65,000, located in the beautiful Central San Joaquin Valley. Just 60 miles east of San Francisco, Tracy provides easy access to points to the Bay Area via I 580.
Though Tracy is growing by leaps and bounds, it still remains at its heart, a small town. A community of young and old families alike. A community concerned for the welfare of their children. A community that celebrates 4th of July in the Park. A community that congregates annually for the California Dry Bean Festival. A community that still has parades for Easter, 4th of July, Halloween and Christmas.
Tracy is a community that is not high in crime, though there are many Bay Area families moving out to the suburbs daily. Its still very "small town" in feel. You can still go to the mall or the grocery store and run into 3 families that you know. You dont feel the claustrophobia of the congested freeways and you never feel like youre stuck in the rat race of the Silicon Valley. As soon as youre over the hills, youre home.
